SEO is the acronym, for Search Engine Optimization and is the noble art of fine tuning a website for the webcrawlers send out from the search engines, so the domain rank higher, and therefor appear higher, when you make a search for sudden keywords.

In very short term, it is a try to decode the logic behind the search engine ranking system, and use the knowledge to make a domain or website to rank higher.

About 95% of all websites is found by a search engine, and in Denmark, where the author of this site is living, google alone has about 93% of the search engine market. In US it's only 64.5 percent of the 12.3 billion searches in a month, US-market alone.

If your site, reach page 5, as result number 53, how many do you think there is left, and if you are selling limited-time products as notebooks (e.a. hightech market where the product will be obsolete within a given time), this rank will kill you business, because visits are customers, who hopefully buys and give your laptop-site a lot more money....well and no visits are bankruptcy

How to prevent major loss of money and hits?

As said before, this site is not my way to free money...unfortunely, but that gives me one advantage...i can be quiet hones, without giant loss of income! :)

As much as i would like, that i could really increase the rank of others sites, we actully do have a very little effect, on backlinks - and why is that?

If I search for 'link catalog' i get 19.600.000 results. All of these are not link catalogs, but a nice part of them is. many are promising you higher ranking, but most of them really doesnt matter.

LinkFighter.com is actully more for the fun of linkbuilding, and does provide you with some visibility to the webcrawlers and to other linkfighter-members. This make the site more a fun site, which can be compared to other sites, like beatmylink.com and pixeldonor.dk.
